What we do
Fresh means a date, not an adjective. What you receive was alive that morning, slaughtered to your order, dressed and cut the same day, and delivered chilled — not portioned from a carcass that has been hanging for an unknown length of time in a shop you cannot see into. That is the whole proposition. Practically, families order this way for two reasons. The first is trust: you see the animal and the slaughter on video, and the weighing happens on camera, so nothing about the meat is taken on faith. The second is economics of the freezer: one animal, cut and labelled by meal-sized portion, replaces weeks of small purchases at unpredictable quality. We supply lamb — Baladi or Barqi — goat and beef, and we will say honestly which one suits your cooking and your household size. Offal is fresh on the same day or excluded entirely. Nothing is frozen and re-sold as fresh, and we do not claim a supply chain we do not run.
How it works
- Choose the animal — lamb, goat or beef — and the quantity you need.
- Tell us the cuts and portion sizes your kitchen uses.
- We confirm the slaughter date; the animal is slaughtered to your order.
- Cutting, weighing on camera and labelling happen the same day.
- Meat is chilled and packed for the journey to your area.
- Delivery reaches your home in Cairo on the day of preparation.
Lamb, goat or beef
Lamb is the default for Egyptian home cooking and for occasions, and Barqi is asked for by name for its flavour. Goat is leaner and has a distinct taste that suits particular dishes and particular families; if you have never cooked it, order a small quantity first. Beef and veal are the practical choice for large households that want mince, cubes and steaks in volume, and for anyone filling a freezer once. We will give you a straight recommendation rather than pushing the largest animal.
Why slaughter to order matters
When slaughter happens to order, the date is knowable and so is the animal. You can be shown the animal before it is slaughtered, watch the weighing, and ask what it ate and where it came from. When meat is taken from stock, none of those questions have answers, and the freshness claim is only as good as the person making it. This is also why we do not carry a permanent chilled inventory: we would rather take your date and work backwards from it.
Storing and freezing at home
Meat you will cook within a day or two belongs in the coldest part of the fridge, in the bag it arrived in. Anything beyond that should go straight into the freezer on the day it arrives, in meal-sized bags with the air pressed out — not as one large block that gets thawed and refrozen. Mince and offal are the least forgiving and should be used or frozen first. Thaw in the fridge overnight rather than in water.
Where the animals come from
Our animals come from partner farms we buy from directly, which is why we can tell you what an animal is rather than what a label says. Breed availability changes through the year, so if you want a specific breed such as Barqi we confirm it before accepting the order instead of substituting quietly. Anything we have not verified — inspection paperwork, feed claims, specific yield figures — we simply do not state.
Fresh from the farm
Video from the farm is shared with every order: the animal before slaughter, the slaughter itself if you want it, and the weighing of each cut.
Islamic guidance
Islamic slaughter, as the scholars describe it, is carried out by a Muslim who says the name of Allah — Bismillah, Allahu Akbar — using a sharp knife that cuts the throat and blood vessels quickly. The animal is treated mercifully, the knife is not sharpened in front of it, and animals are not slaughtered in view of one another. For a personal ruling, consult a trusted scholar.

Frequently asked questions
Is the meat frozen?
No. It is slaughtered to order and delivered chilled on the day of preparation. What you freeze afterwards is your choice, and we bag it so that is easy.
Can I order a small quantity?
The service is built around whole animals and their shares, so quantities follow that. Tell us what you need and we will tell you plainly whether it fits.
How do I know the weight is right?
Weighing is filmed cut by cut and the totals are sent to you before delivery. If something looks off when the bags arrive, tell us the same day and we review the footage with you.
Is Barqi lamb always available?
Not always — availability moves through the year. Ask for it by name when you book and we confirm from the partner farms before taking the order rather than substituting another breed.
What are the prices?
Prices follow the animal and its weight and are kept on the live price table in the order flow so they are never out of date. Message us for the current figure.
Do you deliver offal fresh?
Yes, on the same day, bagged separately from the muscle meat — or excluded entirely if you would rather not receive it.
How long does fresh lamb keep in the fridge?
Plan on cooking it within a day or two and freeze the rest on arrival. Mince and offal should be used or frozen first because they spoil fastest.
Do you deliver outside Cairo?
Our confirmed delivery map is Cairo and Greater Cairo. For anywhere beyond it we will say so honestly rather than take an order we cannot serve properly.
